What to Talk About on a First Date

So you're on a first date with a girl, what on earth do you talk about?  Most guys can sit back and shoot the shit with their friends for hours but when it comes to talking to a woman they're attracted to, for some reason things change.  Most men fear the first date because they think they won't be interesting or they will have nothing to talk about.  In this article I will show you how to have a successful first date with no awkward pauses or time spent thinking about "what should I say?"

Take a glance once or twice a day at some of the top news sites and stay informed about what's going on in the world.  There is so much going on in the world you will have an endless number of topics to talk about.  Try to stay on the positive side if you can.  Talking about death, destruction and mayham isn't the most attractive thing to a girl.

- Most people have plans, talk about them

Doesn't matter if you're talking about short term plans, long term plans or something you're just considering.  If you're planning on traveling south america for 3 months let her know.  Travel is an awesome topic and a lot of people will relate and find commonalities in it.

That's what its about right there, finding commonalities.  Successful topics on first dates are the ones that both of you are interested in.  If you tell a girl you tried hot yoga once and she chimes in that she loves hot yoga and has been doing it for 3 years then you're away to the races.  A first date is about connecting with the person you're with - commonalities are a big piece of the puzzle.
