Approach Women

Are you one of the many guys who get nervous at the thought of approaching a woman?  Don’t worry, you’re not the only one.  In this article you will find three tips to help you overcome your fear of approaching women.

Before we get to the three tips on how to successfully approach women I want you to think back on the approaches you’ve done?  Have you had success in the past?  Have you identified some sticking points you have?  What reoccurring patterns have you noticed?  A lot of guys tend to make approaching a lot more difficult than it needs to be.

Here are three tips to help you approach women tonight:

1.           Change your mindset

This is huge.  It’s funny how different things are when viewed from a different perspective.  Your average joe will have a goal in his head like I have to get her phone number, or I have to leave with her.  Is this really helpful?  If you said no you’re definitely right.  All this does is put unnecessary pressure on yourself.  Change your mindset and approach women with no expectations.  NONE.  The only thing you should know, not be thinking about, but know is that you are a fun guy and talking to her because you’re a social person?  If she brushes you off who cares?  There’s more fish in the sea.

2.           Abundance or scarcity

How do you see women?  In your mind is there tons of women out there or are you under the impression if this specific girl doesn’t like you its game over.  This is often why guys act needy; they view the supply of women as extremely limited.  Coming from a mindset of abundance is nothing new, but it’s very important when dealing with approaching women.  Knowing in the back of your mind that if this current interaction doesn’t work out that you can go talk with 5 or even 10 more girls after this will help relieve some of that approach anxiety.

3.           Don’t over complicate your opener

I know a lot of guys like scripted material and having a couple go to openers can be helpful, but to successfully approach women you are going to need to be spontaneous.   Many guys are far too rigid and think they have to stick to their canned material to have success.  Canned material is just a crutch and nothing more.  Once you know that you can open without your scripted openers and use something as simple as saying hi and giving your name your success will sky rocket.  Keep it simple.

Approaching women is not difficult but it will take a bit of practice.  Lets recap, go into the interaction with no expectations, remember that there are so many girls out there waiting to be approached one rejection is meaningless, and opening with “the perfect opener” is unnecessary – keep it simple and the set will open.
